Does it have to be expensive? or cheap?
A good wedding gift is something that is thought of well. It doesn't have to be expensive but if you can afford to splurge the newly-weds with something luxurious, then why not. After all, it's the thought that counts.

Perhaps it is very practical. But I think probably the money is the best gift for a wedding. Usually I will give money to family and friends when they get married. It seems it's also a very common gift for the wedding. At least they can buy whatever they like.
I love China

Any gift is really special even if it is just as simple or not that expensive. The important thing is the person remembers and that he/she wishes the couple well.

for me the best gift for a wedding is furniture or appliances, if the one who is going to wed are my best friends and i have the money for it, i will either give a refrigerator or a washing machine... these two for me are the most needed and most used appliances in the house, and if someone will start a family, they sure need this. if i dont have the money, i will give them curtains, pillows, or blankets. they are good gifts too and are not expensive.
i will not give plates, glasses, iron, wall clock, as these are the most common gifts for newly weds. i remember when my friend got married she received so many irons and wall clocks, she sold some of them... i bought one of the wall clock... lol
