Just when it seemed we had a hot summer in store....

...it's gone cold and wet again! Just two weeks ago I was wearing my flip-flops outside and digging out some comfortable summer clothes to wear in the 27 degrees we were lucky enough to have! Now it's cold... and I have my electric heater on to keep me warm! Why is the UK weather like this?

Must have been 27 degrees Celsius, UK_Shree. I was confused there for a minute, then I realized the huge difference in Celsius, that is used in Europe and Fahrenheit that is used here in the United States.
I think the reason the UK is like that is it is so far north of the equator. The northern parts of the U.S., like the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, are that way as well.
I myself, don't even like going North of where I am living now. People say we are fortunate to get to enjoy all four seasons of the year, but I could stand a little more summer and a little less winter. LOL
Enjoy your day, I hope it warms up soon!

It's that way here in the states, too, in the midwest where I live. It was 82 yesterday and won't get over 65 today. I rather like the variety and I'm hoping for a cooler summer. Did you know that we're in a cooling cycle? The natural cycles of the earth cools and warms periodically and this is supposedly one of the cool ones. Connected to sun flares or something, I read.
Enjoy the variety!

It is what they have been saying. All the ice is melting and we are getting into the crazy last days. That is what they are saying. Scarey to think.

Call me silly but I actually enjoy the cold weather here! After living in Australia for seven years and getting burnt almost yearly with temperatures reaching 48 degrees, I really do enjoy the cold weather here. Not a big fan of the rain but I love the cold weather! (hehehe I'm probably the first person in England to say that.. never heard anyone that likes the weather here!)
but according to the weather guys there is supposed to be a heat wave heading towards England, Scotland and Wales so well that should get your flip flops some action!

UK weather conditions are always in fix. Just a 2 minutes before there will 25 degrees, after 2 minutes there will be showers of rain. It's a nature or kind of weather conditions usually exist in the UK. But as you are living there you can easily adapt to the weather conditions.
