Let it dry completely. Pick the polish off with your nail. Hopefully it wont leave a faded stain. But if it does. Depending on the polish. If the polish is made for children. Use a little dish soap on a rag scrub the stain. If the polish is for adults try the soap first if it dont come up then let it dry then use nail polish remover.

I learned a valuable lesson this time. No matter how tired you are, pick up anything the kids can get into. I luckily found a few things that worked really well. I got the stain completely out.

Well it is glad that you have a happy ending, of course she want to be every bit like you. I think it is ok for her to play with such things, however you must also educate her regarding the dangers that come with it.
By the way I am a dad of a two year old. I wonder when she would start to do such things.

She's growing up fast. Wants to be just like mommy and do everything I do. This time it just kind of backfired on me. I luckily found that oxyclean and water then nail polish remover helped a lot. I am just happy I don't have to get new couches, the ones I have are less then a year old.

My ex boyfriend actually spilled lasagna all over a couch I had. I found that shaving cream (not gel) worked VERY well at getting out the stains. I think it might work if the polish were not completely dry yet.

I would get some nail polish remover with acetone. Test it on a small part of the back of the couch where no one can see. That way you can determine if it would take out the color of the couch. If it doesnt affect the color of the couch, use that to get the nail polish off.
Good luck!

Thank you so much. I got another tip to use oxyclean off a website. I tried that first in hopes I wouldn't fade the color. They both worked out nicely together. The oxyclean and water faded it so the color wouldn't smear. Then I tested the nail polish remover and luckily it took the rest of the color out of the stain. Now it just looks like I have a watermark in a couple of small areas.
