I bought htis white top from Walmart

I would probably go ahead and use bleach anyways, but that's just me. I don't ever really read the washing instructions before I launder my clothes. You could consider using Oxy clean. I use it a lot and really like it!

Hi cynthiann, I was thinking about purchasing a white dye called Rit Dye, I've seen them at Walmart too. Maybe that would work. I like shopping at Walmart too.

Try oxyclean laundry booster if you can get it.....my sister swears by it! Hope you find the solution!

Hey cynthiann! I know what you mean about white tops that you can't use bleach on! I don't know what to tell you to use either! You can try to get one of those color beaches, but I don't really think it will brighten it much either! When I was a medical assistant and wore white uniforms I had that same problem! The whites would get dingy so quickly and there wasn't anything I could to to brighten them up! But, that was so many years ago and they have so many brightening things out now that you might be able to find something that does work! Maybe one of those brightening detergents for colored clothes might work. You could try it?

I like the brand Faded Glory, when I was still working I used to buy a lot of that brand while working there; good luck I hope something works for you; Its very hard to get things to stay white anymore and even harder in this case when its an "offwhite color" and you want it a brighter white...
