Is there any change about paste in mylot? It's strange!

I know we are not allowed to paste before reaching 500 posts. However, it's true that I did paste some phrases just now! First I forgot the rule and tried to paste. It's a surprise when I succeeded and remembered the rule! Yet I failed when I wanted to paste some long sentences, the indication poped up again. I'm wondering if there happens some change in mylot. Are we allowed to paste to some extent, even before reaching 500?

I have wondered the same thing. In two discussions I began, I was allowed to paste, but in all the rest, a pop-up msg. tells me I cannot until I reach that magic 500 number. I don't that the rules have changed, so I'll be anxious to see what others have to say about this.

Hi, Karen, I think most probably you can paste some short senteces, as many times as you like. I succeeded in doing it every time.

I noticed today that someone was able to post a link. I found that odd! I dont no about the copy and paste. How do you no if it was copied and pasted?

Well, I know it from my own experience as I mentioned above. Even now I can paste, but only short sentences.

I tried it out just now and was equally surprised. But on trying it out further I have realized that you can copy-paste only two lines (about 170 characters). If you try copy-pasting more than those, you will get the pop-up saying that you cannot copy-paste.
I think it is done to allow members to copy paste within their own posts if they want to change the order of a sentence or two in a discussion. It had happened to me once and it hadn't allowed me to paste. It was so frustrating as I had to type the whole thing again as I couldn't paste it.

Yeah, that's a very good observation. Anyway, I don't know what use would be the copy-paste facility here on Mylot. I will be reaching the 500 posts soon, but I am not excited about it as I don't know what to do with that extra feature. Some suggestions are invited.

Hi, just now I made an experiment, I can paste, for instance, from your response,"It was so frustrating as I had to type the whole" but I can't paste with one more word like "It was so frustrating as I had to type the whole thing ". Perhaps the upper limit to paste is the former length .

I want to paste some words in mylot, but i failed,I tried several time, but never succeed in pasting. My net is slow, especiailly in mylot,sometime I failed to post response, so I had to write it again, for I can not use the copy-paste function in mylot. Sometime I copy some sentences that write by myself in mylot, I can not paste too.

Hi,have you seen my comment just above your response? Try to paste short sentences as I described in my experiment, perhaps it works.
By the way, the upper limit I mentioned is to paste once in all, if you want to paste some long sentence, just separate it into smaller parts and paste the smaller parts (within the upper limit I described above) one by one. You can paste everything in this way! Though it's not so convenient, after all, something is better than nothing.
