I believe God has given free will . . . if we hear a calling within to go through all the training and learning that is takes to be a Dr. so be it . .. we all have strengths and weaknesses . it comes down in the form of our DNA . .
I bet when Aretha Franklin sang "I Say a Little Prayer For You" she probably could not have imagined that the soulful pledge would become the stuff of serious science.
Most research in this field looks at how people who are sick are affected by their own spiritual beliefs and practices. In general these studies have suggested that people who are religious seem to heal faster or cope with sickness more effectively than do the non devout. ..
Something to be said for the power of prayer in my book!

No, I don't think so... Maybe because I'm an atheist
There has been some kind of doctors for a long time. People just realized that some people need to know more about healing than others and do it as a job. Otherwise lots of people would die because nobody would heal them. People themselves have gained knowledge about medical stuff by examining diseases. Just like people have invented electricity, writing, numbers, money etc. I don't have anything against people believing God gave doctors knowledge and stuff like that, I just wanted to tell my own opinion about it.

yes I believe that God uses doctors to heal and that God is the one from whom all knowledge and wisdom flows down from. So of course he can use a doctor to heal a patient. Also he can use an ordinary man or woman through the power of praye or through laying on of hands. Happy Mylot!
