I'm not much of a football fan. (I was born in Detroit so I am a Lions fan. Please no sympathies) I watch one game a year and it's on Thanksgiving. It's the Lions' fan version of the Super Bowl. My idea to make football more interesting is to make it more like baseball. Instead of playing 16 games a season, play 162 games a season. Of course you'd have to have more players because of the wear and tear on them. But you could have a starting quarterback rotation. You could even bring in your relievers toward the end of the game. They'd probably have to shorten the games though. maybe instead of 4 quarters have two 15 minute halves. (Yeah I know sometimes I have too much time on my hands.) But does anyone have anything to add to this?

What I can add to this is I'm a Green Bay Packer fan and we play the Lions(again) on Thanksgiving this year! With your idea on how to change the NFL is nuts! It wouldn't work and no one would even consider it! You do have to much time on your hands!

What exactly is a Packer anyway? Everyone knows what a Lion or a Cowboy or a Falcon is. But what exactly is a Packer? What do they pack? Cheese maybe? Just wondering. Still have too much time on my hands.

The Packers got their name from the a meat packing company in Green Bay. Curly Lambeau was the founder and first head coach of the Packers when they become to in 1919. I believe the first players were fromm the packing company. You sure don't know any football history!

How do I say this politely? This is crazy. The main reason football works is because it only 17 weeks. It has the fall to winter. With 162 games, it will either be all winter long or have to start in the heart of summer. with 162 games , they would have to steal, and I mean steal college players to fill the rosters. Some players would go straight from highschool to the pros. It would be one big mess.
