The deadly virus, AH1N1 a.k.a Swine flu, is already spreading around the globe. I am so scared because there were already many cases in our country. In fact, classes in our country have been suspended because of this.
What are your experiences about this? Do you know someone who have swine flu? What preventive measures can you advice, since there is no vaccine yet for this disease.

If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms such as runny nose, sore throat, cough, fever, and headache, you should seek medical attention. This holds true especially those who travelled in places with A(H1N1) like United States and Mexico.
Early detection is the key. Your local A(H1N1) task force should provide your hospital with testing kits for RT-PCR to determine if the throat swabs from the suspected case is a valid AS(H1N1) case.
Within 48 hours from confirmation of case OR onset of influenza symptoms, the client should recieve oseltamivir (Tamiflu) for 5-7 days.
Remember, A(H1N1) is not very fatal. It is very treatable as long as the client is detected early and given the right medication and management.
Furthermore you can visit http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/index.htm OR the World Health Organization website for more authoritative guide about Influenza A (H1N1) virus.
