How long do you wait for someone until you finally decide to leave?

I'm not a very patient person, but when asked to wait, I would wait. But perhaps 30minutes would be too much waiting, most especially if I'm not really somewhere that's comfortable, like in public places. How long do you wait for someone until you finally decide to leave?

15 minutes if it's not so important, 30 to an hour for business meetings, and forever for someone right. :)

Laydee, this is is the cellphone age. Everybody is just a text away. Why wait for someone if it is productive for you to be someplace else. But if you are dining with a friend, make sure you both are on time. If a suitor asks for a date and he's late, abandon at once. Waiting is a thing of the past.

Hi muscles4me. I didn't know about cellphone statistics. Honestly I only started using the cellphone last March when my daughter prodded me to use one for school purposes. In my country, I had been behind by 7 years when it comes to using this gadget. Even the poor in the slums has access to cellphone. But then, this is my country.

It depends whom I am waiting for. If I am waiting for my family or relatives, I can wait longer until they arrive in the meeting place. For my friends and business meetings, I only wait for half an hour...no more or no less. I am punctual and I also expect the same with them. They learned a lesson from me if I left before they arrived.

I'm not a patient person either.I'm strict with myself aboout the time.I usually get to the place earlier.I'll leave in ten minutes if no one tells me to wait for a moment.I think it's impolite to be late.In a sense, the one ,who is late, is wasting others' time.

Oh yeah, I think being late indeed is disrespecting the others' time. Hmmm.. I guess, I shouldn't wait more than 10 minutes!

Hi there Laydee! I am not a patient person too but I can wait longer up to an hour if I am waiting for a family or a really close friend of mine. If it's other people, I guess I'll be leaving about just the same time as you will.

I don't like waiting either....so fifteen minutes and I call to see if they are coming...if it's going to be later and I know it...then I can wait....but if I don't hear from them fifteen minutes..tops half hour.

I HATE to wait! If you say 4:00 im ready at 3:45. I hate being late. It makes everything go wrong. Its the domino effect. If someone says meet me here at noon time, I would probably give them 30 minutes. During which I would be calling them like crazy. lol Then I would leave. I dont have a busy life but I just am not going to spend my time waiting. I dont want to die knowing that I spent most of my time waiting. I like to get things done, on time. Good Luck dl

i can be patient depends on who i am waiting. before my wife let me wait for almost the whole day. she was at a meeting. well i know she will take long but i still told her i will wait for her. but if i will wait for my sister or brother har har har i am not that patient. i will leave them if they wont come on time. if i will wait for band members or people the i work with then i give time atleast up to 30 minutes. if not there then i will leave or sometimes i go to internet shops and let them wait for 30 minutes also. a doze of their own medicine

I am just like u.I hate waiting and also dont keep people waiting for me.I generaaly tell them i was there and left ..my patience runs out after 30-40 minutes of waiting and i really get upset and mood off after that. I expect people to keep appontments and maintian timings in ever dealings.

I'm not too patient either. If the person is late, but calls up with a good/reasonable excuse, I might wait. However it depends how long - if the person is already on the way, and the delay is caused by something unavoidable like an accident, then I might wait. Else I will just go off, after telling the person off for making me wait!

I most definently agree with you 30 minutes is way to long especially if your not comfortable. I would wait 5 -10 min no longer.

I could wait until say up to an hour and a half. I could probably bring a good book to keep me busy. But then with all the technology now, the person could be a lot more courteous if he would say before hand that he would be late and to assure the person that he is really coming.

This is my favorite forte.Punctuality.I am just a punctuality freak and everyone who knows me never fails to respect their appointments as I am always on the dot for appointments.Even five minutes seems to be endless and tiring for me to wait for someone. But in practical I have to endure the delay of the people up to thirty minutes in business.I have to sacrifice my principle at times for the same of my business.

Hi, laydee! Patience is definitely not my strong suit. If I'm to meet someone, I'll be on the cell phone within five minutes and, if there's not a really good reason to wait longer, I'm gone within fifteen minutes. We all deserve at least the respect to have our time observed.
