I was busy and didn't look at this plant for two days, yesterday I looked and behold many small tomatoes have appeared. So far it's performing as advertised. Now we just have to wait for warm weather. None of the plants in the ground or in regular pots have produced yet.

Yay! I would love to see your upside plant : ) My daughter's is doing well, too. My tomato plant is in a big pot on the patio and now has 10 tomatoes of varying sizes on it. It's been chilly here, too, so they aren't growing as fast as they might, but soon...

Oh Pat thanks so much for posting this. I really wanted to try this out. I was a bit skeptical and very broke. Two factors that stopped me from purchasing. I read on a blog that these upside down growers are relatively easy to make your own. Only thing is I think it's too late to start tomatoes in Florida. I'm gonna do some research on growing times and if it's not too late, I just may try it!

You may get a large plant at the nursery, then you can bury most of it and you'll have a good start. The reason you can bury the stem is it will sprout roots.

Hi! If it works so well, I'm going to give it a shot after I get home from the next round of surgery. There's a very small part of the patio that gets filtered sun, so there's a chance the 90+ degrees and too much sun won't burn them up. Enjoy every one of them! Joanne

I hope so, but I really can't wait for June 29, hoping the intense pain will be relieved at long last! Thanx!

We'll have to wait and see how fast they mature, right now it's looks like a long time. Good luck on your surgery, I hope this is the last for you.
