do u keep your notifications turned on?

I keep all of mine turned on all the time, too. No, I don't have this problem. I wonder what's going on? Reckon mylot is going through some maintenance problems? I hope you can get this fixed. Kathy.

I always once accepting a friend the notification goes on.Other wise it is pointless getting friends.I have never noticed if I don't get them to be honest normally up to my eyeballs in my mail box but will watch out for that.

I do keep them on, but am like you, some I am not notified on. I have at least one person that I have to go to their profile and check because I am never notified of theirs.

I don't have all my notifications turned on, but I have noticed this problem with at least a few people that are on my friends list who I have set on. I have noticed these particular friends started discussions yet I never get notifications about it. I don't know why this happens other than It must be one of mylot's many glitches.

This is a really good discussion and I am sure there are a lot of people who have different opinions when it comes to the notifications here on mylot,I am sure there are a lot of people who keep their notifications on,on their friends because they think it makes it easier to keep up when their friends have started a new discussion ,and then I am sure there are people who keep the notifications off because they think that is a waste of time and just gets in the way,especially if they spend a lot of time on mylot,and do not like checking their email a lot,when it comes to me I have notify on for several of my friends including my fiance,so that way it will send me a notification when they start a discussion,I also have it so anytime someone responds to one of my discussions or comments to me,it sends me an email letting me know,I recently started doing this,because I cleaned out my email and it is no longer full of junk like it used to be,and when it comes to having problems, even though I have notify on for my fiance,it never emails me when she starts a discussion and neither of us can figure out why,we think it might be because she referred me,but we are not sure,have a great day,good luck with your life,and all of your mylotting goals,and Happy Posting.

i don't get many discussions i think they just turn me off cause they don't like my responses or something or they don't need me as a friend. they don't know what they are missing.lol

I totally have this problem and I hate it since I have to go and dig around for the new discussions my friends have started. I have a few of my favorites members that I don't get notifications from even though everyone on my friends list is on so I should get them but I don't maybe we only get a limited amount of them see their discussions maybe the first 25? I don't know..but I guess I will be digging fro them till it is fixed or I go looney..

I keep my notification always online like you. I can see my friends discussion and I am updated, I will post my response when it have my interest and I will just leave some that I don't want to response too. However I don't have a problem about notification, you have to ask Mylot admin for it. Kindly email them.

I have this problem too. I have to search for one particular friend to see if she posted a discussion. I have complained many times but nothing happens.It is not good as if looks like you are ignoring these friends and not answering their posts.And thenm, if I forget to search or there is not enough time for me to do so then it lookes like I am ignoring that friend. I think that other people must suffer from this too. Surely it can't be just us?

Same with me. I am not sure why this is, so I usually just check to see if a friend has posted anything interesting by manually checking. A bit laborious I guess but still gets the job done

hmmm so far I just turned on my notification recently my lady and I have receive notification of my friends discussion. How are you I just arrive from my trip and as promised gonna be on your discussion from now on I really do hope I will be doing it right this time and if not then I do hope you would guide me along the way my lady. see you around.

it's a convenient way to keep stealth status in online communication tools. In this way, i know which friend is on-line. Once, i have something to share with them, i can talk with them immediately.

I have all my notifications turned on, the only thing I find I'm not notified of is if someone makes a comment on my posted discussion then a different user makes a comment on that comment...make sense?

Ok - I'm still somewhat new to Mylot so perhaps I need some clarification...what do you mean by notificatiob=n? I get the emails that tell me when someone has commented on my post/discussion..is that what you are talking about?

I have every single notification turned on, but there are three people on my friend list that I never get notifications from. I contacted mylot a long time ago, and they kept saying they would fix it. Of course they never have. One of the people whose notifcations I don't get said I'm not the only one who doesn't get hers. Apparently a lot of her friends don't get her notifications.

i used to do it before but i find them too many in my inbox.it keep me busy deleting them in my inbox and decided to turn it off.i get to see my friends post in the friends started so i don't have any problems on responding to posts of my friends.

Yes, I leave all my notifications on and like you I don't get all my friends discussions send to my emails. I need to go to the friends started column to update myself on the new discussions my friends started.

i used to all the time and still missed friends discussions./ so, now i just check for theirs when its someone like you that always responds to mine. i go check to see when you and a few other really good friends here make a new one.

I don't turn on the notification, for i don't like to receive plenty of email in my inbox. Actually i tried to turn on the notification and i receive thousand of email a day. Too many to handle so i decided to switch it off.

I don't receive notification about all my friends who start discussions. Someone told me that if they don't have you 'turned on' (if you know what I mean) you won't receive notification even though yours are on. Does that make sense? I don't know if that is correct but it would explain why I receive notification from some but not from all. Can anyone confirm this?
