I haven't had ice cream in a while, but I got some for my hubby for his birthday, it was chocolate of course, his favorite. I brought Bryers natural, I didn't like the flavor or the texture. Is it just me? Am I crazy or has anyone else noticed this?

Hi, Pat!
I'm not sure why, but that stuff tastes and feel terrible! I have diabetes, so I just licked the spoon after serving some to guest, and I didn't like it at all. They left quite a bit uneaten, so I guess they agreed!

I find Bryers to be less "creamy" than many ice creams, in spite of its good reputation. The best ice-cream I have found is an inexpensive off brand sold at Wal Mart stores.

Bryers is not my favorite brand of ice cream. I had recently gotten Friendly's ice cream in a gallon size from my local grocery store, it was cookies and cream with chocolate syrup in vanilla ice cream, and it was so delicious. Maybe you might want to try Friendly's ice cream next time. I hope you find a brand that suits you because no one should miss out on good ice cream!

I am not a huge fan of Bryers Natural ice cream either. I was disappointed in the taste and texture, too. However, I just tried their Double Churn Fat Free French Chocolate ice cream and it was amazing. It was rich and creamy. Much better than the Bryers Natural ice cream!
