So what if Adam Lambert is gay...He rocks!

When Season 8 American Idol came about in the beginning of this year I thought that this time I would have watched the show until it was over. I have watched American Idol back through the years, but never thought of doing so to watch it completely, then just waited until the Finals came on. But this Season 8 me, my sister and my brother in law plan to watch it until it was over to the Finals.
I have to say in the beginning when I saw Adam Lambert perform the song "I can't get no satisfaction." I really didn't like it that much and thought this guy was a nobody. Then the weeks passed on then it was his performance "Black or White" by Michael Jackson. I was amazed how he rock the stage then all three of us we're voting for this guy. Ring of Fire was alright, but didn't really catch my attention. Then all of a sudden Adam just started getting better and better and better. Track Of My Tears back in the end of March he performed was a killer. He nailed that song very well.
Now the one song that I couldn't stop listening to is when he came out with his version of "Mad World" it sounds a lot better of the studio full version. I can say it sounded a lot better from the original which was the soundtrack to the movie Donnie Darko.
Of course it has been spoken of and said that there was leak photos of Adam Lambert dressed as a drag queen and kissing and holding hands with other men. So he wears black nail polish and eye liner....So what? The guy rocks! Despite all the attention from the Media he was able to admit he was gay. But with Adam Lambert it's not him about being gay..it's his music, his swagger, his choreography and much more. I have to say he was beyond American Idol and obviously a lot better than Kris Allen..which of course Kris himself admitted to. It's a good thing though that both of them are touring together and making music as well. I'm looking forward to his album whenever that will be.

I like him a lot too, he's good looking, has a great stage presence and the boy can SING! I loved the season finale, best one they've had yet, Adam's performances were awesome! I loved him with KISS. I'm glad he didn't win, because he is so talented that he shouldn't be boxed in by the contractual constraints that come with winning that show. He'll have a lot more opportunities to be true to himself as a free agent.
I hope to see and hear a lot more of him in the future, he's amazing!

Yeah I remember watching his performance with KISS both from the Final and his duet with Kris Allen. The guys awesome. I actually enjoyed Adam's second revised performance of "Mad World" before the finals.

Hey darkangel - I totally agree with you. I actually remember seeing Adam auditions on TV and I mentioned to my hubby "I bet you he will be in the top 32"...There was something about him that really stood out, even from the first day.. during teh top 32 he was good, but it wasn't until the top 13 that he really stood out...His performance of Black and white was amazing...Michael jackson songs are very hard to sing and he did it produly...I too was not a big fan of Ring of Fire - Although atleast he made the version his own. I actually wasnt' a big fan of track of my tears...I liked his performance but i'm not a big fan of the song in general. Mad world was excellent..
I am actually glad that he did not win american idol...I feel that he is much better than the type of songs that he would be forced to sing had he won..I think now he can go and make the type of record that he wants to make....

I totally agree with you on what you say. To me it really didn't matter if he did win it or not, he's already a star in the making.

It does not bother me either that he is gay. He can sing and he is a great, natural performer also and he should have won, period. He will go much farther than the other guy will.

Of course, a lot of people don't like Adam because of his sexuality. Many religions are against it. But I agree with you. He rocks. Let's not make this about his personal life, let's make this about his music. Let's appreciate what he can do. He's a good person, as Kris has stated so many times. Adam is open, and that's a good thing, because otherwise hypocrisy would reign.
Can't wait for his album! I read in one of his fan sites that it will be out in the fall.. Could you help me out with that? We don't have Fall here in the Philippines. So what month will that be?
