I've just given up smoking and started riding the 8 miles to work each day on my bike - so totalling about 80 miles a week. How long do people reckon before I notice a difference in my fittness levels. I suppose I should mention that I'm just coming up to 30. lol.

I didn't smoke before but before I moved I started riding 8 miles to work on my bike (because of gas prices last year) It was tough going up and down all the hills. I didn't start to see results until the third week. I didn't lose weight though, I actually gained some because I was building so much muscle in my legs. I applaud you for riding your bike to work. Most people seem to look down on it. Good Luck.

Honestly, you will not see results super fast. Be realistic, give yourself a month to see real results. It takes time to rebuild your lung capacity, endurance, etc. once you quit smoking. But the 8 mile bike ride in impressive and will go very far in improving your fitness levels.

You should start seeing results in the first seek or two.
This will be very good for your body. But don't push it to much. Give it time to adjust because you just stopped smoking. But good luck. It will start to show soon.
Happy Mylotting!
