im missing my laptop...

so i have an hp computer. i would use it on my bed...and it burned out. so now i dont have a computer...and im using my moms old computer...
she spilled some water on it a while back and the screen is all messed up!
so i have a lame computer right now but i guess it works...
has something like this ever happened to you!? your computer just stopped working?

My cousin had a similar situation. She had her laptop sittong on her bed while it was on. It overheated and the hard drive crashed. She had to buy a brand new hard drive to replace it. I reinstalled windows and some of her programs for her. Now her laptop is fine. It's very important to make sure your computer get airflow so it won't over heat. One time when I was using my old laptop I had it on a pillow and it started to overheat and it shut down by itself - some computers have sensors that turn off the computer if they get too hot.

yeah i know now! im not sure if i want to buy a new hard drive or if i just want to buy a new computer...if you buy a hard drive it works just the same right?

Yep, You will have to reinstall windows and any programs you use. I'm assuming your computer came with reinstallation disks for that. Make sure you buy the right hard drive (if you don't buy a new laptop) - you may need help from a fellow computer geek replacing the hard drive.

hello Britt ..
sorry to hear that , I once had my computer crashed and I felt as I lost everything in the world , I lost all my connection , all my study material are on my computer , it is hard nowadays to live without it .
I wish you could manage getting a new laptop ..

Oh!That is really bad to hear.I think the fault is on your side.When I just bought a new laptop and go through the manual,it says not to use it on bed so that the ventilation will be affected.And your careless mom added to the worst by spilling over water to it.That should be a good lesson for you now.By the way,did you lose any data?

i have this old table computer and i worry so much that it will burn out like yours. its about 3 years old now.
i think i will die without my computer. hehehehe i am very addicted to it.
am saving on a laptop though and i hope i will be able to buy one before the year ends.

yeah...im saving to get a macbook now! my friend ^^^ helped me to figure that one out. im addicted to it too thats why im using my moms...maybe you could get a new computer with your mylot savings!!!

I know what you say, i like to use my laptop very much too.
I don t like to much to use a desktop, even to my office i use a desktop.
Is more comfortable for me to use laptop, i like to stay in bed and feel relax, after a work day.
Last month my laptop was broken too, because i don t was careful and i spilled some Cola, but i repear it, now we are both in good conditions.

No this has never happened to me, I wouldn't know what I would do if it happened to me. I would feel really terrible, I wouldn't feel that good. I feel for you though, I just hope you get a new one. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!
