How often have you disagreed with an OP simply to get a response from them that said something like "If you don't agree with me, then don't post in my discussions" or "If you don't like my discussions, please stay out of them"? This has happened to me several times, and I have seen it happen to others as well, and it makes me extremely mad when I do see it. If you start a discussion with even a small amount of controversy, you are going to get people who agree with you and people who disagree with you. If you cannot have a civilized discussion about it, then you should not be on a website that is MADE FOR DISCUSSION. If you believe that your opinions are solid fact and that everyone who disagrees with you is a stupid or substandard human being, then my advice to you is that you shut yourself up someplace where you will never come into contact with another human being, because that is the only way that you will ever be able to keep people from disagreeing with you. As for me, I may get argumentative when people disagree with me, and I might attempt to bring them around to my way of thinking if I can, but I do try to have an open mind about everything. If you are unwilling to hear what the people who are opposed to you have to say, then you are either very stuck up or very ignorant. There is no two ways about it. So what about you guys? How does it make you feel when people don't want to hear your opinion unless you agree with them?
