I was with my co worker and at the same time friends yesterday and we are in a mall. We happen to see one of the movie star in our country. My initial reaction is to go nearer to the star and even have pictures with her but I can't for I am with friends, I don't want them to react on me so I try to be prim and proper. One of my friend whisper that she wanted to have picture with that movie star but she was shy so both of us lost the opportunity of having our picture with the movie star. While we are walking one commented that She doesn't want to go nearer to a movie star for her its a cheap reaction, and you know both of us the one who wisper smile with each other. How about you what will you do if you met a movie star? Can you please share your experiences. Thanks.

It depends what movie star... If I happen to meet my idol - Emma Watson - I'd probably faint before I could think of what I should do lol :) But if it was someone I'm not interested in, I probably wouldn't do anything. It's just a movie star, ok so what? Yes, you don't meet them everyday, but if it's just a movie star and not someone I admire it wouldn't matter. I wouldn't care to take a picture with him/her or get and autograph just because that person is famous. But as I said, if it was someone I admired like the actors from the Harry Potter movies I'd faint! I wouldn't even think about talking to them! Or getting anywhere near them! :O They mean too much for me... I wouldn't be able to handle the situation... But I can understand that woman, too. It is a somehow stupid reaction... but depending on the reason you are going near the movie star. If you're doing it just because you think it's an "honour" to talk to a famous person then yeah, it's a stupid reaction and I'd never do that. You would just make a fool of yourself, by acting silly in front of a person who is no more than just a human like all of us! Even if he/she is famous, that doesn't change anything. But if you're doing it because that person means something to you, if you admire the person and not the star or the fact that she/he is rich and famous, only if you respect and have a special admiration for that person, only then I think it's ok to act like that. It means that you wish to get a picture with that star because that person means something to you and you would cherish the pic or the chance to share a few words with her/him. But in my case, I wouldn't go near any star even if I truly admired them or not. Especially if it was someone I liked a lot. Because if you think about it, they talk to so many people in a day, they take thousands of pictures with thousands of fans, so going there to talk to her and ask her to take a pic with me wouldn't surprise her at all, she's used to doing that everyday. It wouldn't mean a thing to her. So I'd rather not be "just another fan" that she'll forget the minute she leaves the place... If it would be for me to meet her one day, I don't want to meet her for a minute as a fan, but I'd like to have the chance to get closer to her and be able to get to know her better and truly talk to her. That would mean a lot to me because I admire that person very much. If I'd only talk to her for a sec, it would be like someone showing you a mountain of cakes but in the end tells you that you're only allowed to have a small bite... It would only hurt me even more, because it's obvious the small "chat" won't mean anything to her. Uhh... I just noticed I typed quite a lot... ^^ Sorry I got carried away...

I would like to think that I would be prim and proper, but I have a feeling that I would act like a giddy school girl and start following the celeb. Hopefully if I ever meet a famous movie star, I will have my camera with me so that I can snap a pic and show my friends...

Probably nothing. I might want to go up to them and say how much I like their work, but too many things would go through my head to let me. Like, I wouldn't want some stranger just coming up to me, so I wouldn't feel it was right to do it to them. Or, that they might be having a bad day and might not be in the mood to interact with people they don't know. So, I'd likely do nothing and then come home and tell everyone that I was in the same place with a movie star.

I've actually gotten to meet a few stars. I've met Kenyon Martin of the Denver Nuggets Basketball team and got a picture and he was pretty nice. But my favorite was the Flight of the Conchords that are on HBO. I got to go to their concert and get backstage and meet them because of a good friend of mine. They were actually really nice and got to make small talk with them. That's the best way to meet a celebrity is to make small talk and really not all about them because that's what they're used to.

i met a movie star so many times, in the mall like megamall and shangrila, now you can see them in gateway. im near in gateways so we always in that place to have coffee or dinner sometimes. If i want that movie start i take their picture, sometimes with me, sometimes with my friends. I even go to starbucks abs, so we can see them in real, not just in tv. I dont care what other people say, because we all have our own IDOL.

Good question Here in the UK we don't go crazy for famous people. My sister's best friend is a main character in Hollyoaks and my sister regularly goes to big celebrity bash's. Where I live, there are a lot of major footballers, and the golf open was held here last year so there were loads of film stars and celebrities visiting. We once sat next to David and Victoria Beckham in a food place with their kids and we commented on things they said and how cute and funny they were - like you would with anyone's kids. I would've loved to have been at a wedding my friend went to...she went to a wedding with her husband but she went home early as she felt unwell. Her husband rang to say he was going for drinks and not to expect him home at any particular time. When he got home at 10am the following day NOT DRUNK, she discovered that he had been sat with Ewan Macgregor at the reception and hit it off with him and that was who he went out with for drinks!!! She was gutted but her hubby is now in regular contact with Ewan! I wish x

Well, I have a lot of experiences with movie stars and I would say that I would really get star struck. I don't care with who I am with as long as I can express what I feel at the moment, that is whats important. Sometimes, I don't get to have picture or sign autographs but just seeing the movie star is enough for me. It'll be good to have a camera or a cellphone with camera with you when you see them.

i only have one fave, and that is my ultimate crush, Brad Pitt. If i would be very lucky to see him and be near him, i would just probably grab him and kiss him, i will not let that chance pass me by really.

hello there... actually it depends upon the situation, when i saw a movie star walking in a mall or eating in a resto i am not usually going to them...yes i look at them and even give a second look but never i approach them or follow them...maybe because i am shy and would like to give them their privacy and sometimes i don't recognize them especially when they are not on make up...but sometimes if i got their attention i give them a smile and good feeling if they smile back...but if i saw them in a mall performing...well its a different story... i remember when i was still working...a celebrity go to the bank where i was working and pay for something...well he is popular but you know what? we just treat him as a normal client and don't gives any favor for him...we don't even bother to ask for his autograph or pic although he looks very kind and approachable...and what is fun about it, it looks like as if he is the one who is shy with us...:-) but yes its normal for us to sometimes get star struck when we see a celebrity in a mall especially when they are one of our favorites...:-) have a good day!

I guess i'm too shy to get nearer... I was saw a singer in the airport, but i was too shy to get closer and ask his pic together, because i was alone... so, i just saw him from far. But i have a cousins and he's a movie star, i have some picture together with him, because he came to my house. But there was a little tought that act like that was a cheap reaction, so i was a little bit shy to asked first... :)

Hi Mhethess, If i am younger, i will be screaming and so happy and exciting! But now i am passed that age, i think i will be clam and happy to see a famous star. If he/she is the star that i like, i will be much happier, i will just look at him/her and appreciate the different side of her/him from the movie.

I meet a lot of local movie stars but It did not came to me that I want to take pictures with them or have an autograph with them. I just consider them as ordinary people who pass on me every time i cross the street.

I have seen so many movie stars in my life since I was a kid. Usually I will just try to take a look at the movie star but not really near then thats it. I don't like being in a crowd and there is nothing special about them. Those movie stars are just like us. We work to live and survive, the only difference is that they are famous because they are either on tv or films. Some of them even buy pre-owned items or clothes. I had one picture with my favorite singer two years ago but it was my friend's idea, she told me that she will take a picture of me with my camera. I see movie stars in a mall, restaurants and even in some bars that I hang out but I am not really interested with them.

I always have a chance to see movie star and some artists in one of the mall here in our place. But dont have any chance to stay near to them. So what i do is just take pictures. Well if i will be given a chance to talk to him/her i will definitely go rush to do that. And ofcourse have picture with them, so its important that you always carry a camera or your cellphone have built in camera so when opportunity or things like this happen you are ready and you will be having a souvenir from them. Happy mylotting girl!`

I have encountered celebrities several times in the mall.I'm not really into showbiz that much,so I'm ok if they just pass by.I'm more into models, though.one time, while walking in an upscale mall,I passed by this commercial model famous at that time.she was with a friend.I actually went back and asked her to pose for a picture with me.good thing she was nice and agreed.her friend was nice too, agreeing to snap the photo of her friend (the model) and me.

i once had met piolo pascual at the airport, he was falling in line to the check in area, he was just so near with me, but people around haven't noticed him, or i think some people noticed him but just keep quiet, so i just keep my mouth shut too, i just took my videocamera out from my bag and secretly took a video of him , while he was just sitting waiting for his turn, wearing black shades, beside sitting him are his body guard and his mother.

We always do meet movie stars where I work. Movie companies would rent the place and shoot films and tv series. We would just look at them and see for ourselves if they really look good in real life like they appear on tv. Some were nice and conversant with the staff, while others have that ego which is expected of a movie star. Overall, I would say the experience was unforgettable.
