Does it really matter if you wear my wedding ring are not. Are is it just a show peice to trick people in to thinking that you are really committed to one indivdual.

It depends on whether or not you act like you are married. My parents have been married for over 30 years, and they seldom felt the need to wear their rings, as they do not behave in a manner that makes them appear available to other people. On the other hand, my sister's pathetic husband has a habit of staying out partying all night and sleeping on friends (sometimes females) couches, so she gets extremely upset if he doesn't wear his ring. In her mind, he needs to wear the ring, as he does not behave as if he is in a committed relationship.

I totally agree with canadianginger.
Although I myself would prefer my partner to wear a wedding ring... but if he's not acting like a married man, then it's as good as not wearing the wedding ring at all. I know it's just a symbol of marriage. But to some people who knows how to value little things (and I am counting myself as one), this matters a LOT.
