It is chilly and rainy here in Michigan, USA, today...a perfect day to stay inside and cook. For the mail meal, I made a pork loin roast fill with stuffing, some brocolli, and applesauce. For later, I have a cake cooling on the kitchen counter. We'll have it with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Did you cook today or make a main meal? If so, what yummy thing did you cook? Karen

Rice goes well with so many things. We have that often too. I've never thought to put an egg in, but want to try that. I bought a new jar of curry recently, and the top was on so tight that when it finally opened, half the curry flew onto the floor! LOL. Have a happy night... Karen

I think next time I cook rice, I will do it that way. I imagine the egg adds texture and variety. Plus, they do have extra protein and other nutrients. Thank you for the suggestion. Karen

Am I invited?? Strawberries sound great! I did not cook, I hardly cook actually. My mom does and we have different kinda main course here in this part which include one rice item and one bread (whole wheat flour) item. Then the side dishes like lentils, soups, fries, meat, fish or egg.

The meals your mom cooks sound delicious and also healthy. And yes, the strawberries were very good! I love it when the local foods ripen and show up in the stores or the farmer's market. Nothing tastes quite so fresh. Thank you for responding. Karen

Mmm, sounds delicious. Fish is healthy, and so are the veggies, which I love steamed. Kudos to your wife, and thank you for your response. : )) Karen
