movie! At least when I Yahoo searched, I found: http://www.hollywood.com/movie/The_Blue_Nowhere/ could not resist, created an account and posted a comment. Truly a great thriller, that is in addition a chiller - meaning realistic & possible where a computer hacker "geek" stalks his prey using technology... It will make you rethink your safety... I am amazed it IS going to be made into a movie. But if not, then why did hollywood.com create a page unless the movie is in the works. I have a firm rule to ALWAYS read the book before seeing the movie...

I have not read this book - sorry. I find Jeffrey Weaver to be super scary but if I see it for sale then I will buy it as it does sound so good. Myself, I always read the book before the movie. Doing this though can make the movie sometimes very disappointing when tey change the plot!

I would never sell the movie rights to my Novel without maintaining control of the screenplay, yet you are correct, that ofter "Hollywood" wreaks or distorts what a reader comes away with.

Spent a bit more time googling this rumor. It seems in 2003 Warner Bros. bought the rights from Deavers (Not Weavers!). As far as I can find, they have not moved forward... Which makes sense to me. My inclination has been the story threatens the status-quo. If they made the movie faithful to the story, lots of people would stop using technology since they would realize how vulnerable they are. Let's face it. We're all using the web to be interacting at my Lot. Steve Slaton P.S. And I'm really Steve Slaton of Fort Collins, Colorado. Part of me being honest and open, a fearless? is due to reading The Blue Nowhere. P.P.S. The other reason is that I take responsibility for everything I do, say, or post.
