what occasion are celebrating today? oh happy independence day!

hello there fellow filipino! its june 12! happy independence day to you. well do you celebrate this occasion? or do you remember this occasion? yesterday i ask the students to write the national anthem of the Philippines.Im a bit sad that some students do not know even the title of our national anthem. how sad... and some don't even know the whole song.. but some knows the song and even put design or boarder on their notebook that shows they are proud to be a filipino.In our house we put s small Philippine flag this is our own way on celebrating our independence day. how about you, how do you commemorate our independence day? or did you even remember its independence day today?

You are right, not all Filipinos know the national anthem as I have seen and witnessed that when I was in college, some of my classmates don't know how it.
I am going to Rizal Park later to see the Independence Day activities that they have there. I even have a shirt with a Phil flag design on it as well. There was a time when I told my foreign bf to give respect during the national anthem in the cinema. I even twit at Twitter earlier today about it: http://twitter.com/sophie_dfuss

i do remember our independence day and i will never forget it. I am proud to be a filipino. I dont dolipi anything special though jsut remembering it and keeping my filipino values so i can pass it on to my son.
