Many people have a specific time when they sit and like to write...The writing can be on MyLot, can be fiction or no-fiction...
I prefer writing at dusk... Just when the sun is about to set, varied colors are splashed on the sky, neither day nor night, birds retreating to their homes...
I like to sit back that time in my terrace and write short stories.
When do you prefer writing the most?

I find that I mostly enjoy writing in the morning. Not first thing, as I sometimes feel that, what with living in a small town, that it's a little like a ghost village and I'm the only one awake! lol. But...just before midday when the sun is almost the highest in the sky and I've woken up slowly and feel refreshed, I've done all my daily jobs and I can just relax, make myself a drink, and write whatever I like, at whatever pace I like, without having to think about the time or the repurcussions. There's also the sounds of the outside that can be very soothing, such as the birds in the garden and the stream at the bottom of the brook. I suppose it depends on where you live, as with a city, this time of day can be very hectic. However, I find that it works for me, especially as I live in the country. I just seem to feel more refreshed and raring to go at this time of the day. Also, If I write at night, when my whole family is at home and they're all sitting together and socialising, then I sometimes feel as though I am leaving myself out and I don't really like that feeling. So yes; close to midday is perfect for me.

I like to write in the morning, between 7.30 and 10.00am. I take my husband orange juice and tea in bed and I sit down to write. I divide my writing between Mylot and Helium mainly, and I also write 2 blogs.
I usually do some more writing in the late evening, around 11.00pm. None of these writing times are cast in stone; if I feel I really need to write something, I'll drop everything to do it. With writing, it's a case of use it or lose it. The more you write, the more ideas you generate.

I might be part vampire, 'cuz I write so much more after sundown!
It's probably a learned response from growing up on the farm and having to work during the daylight, so my brain doesn't relax and get creative until nighttime!

I enjoy all types of hours, when I'm in the mood I'm on it, when I'm not I'm not, and it doesn't matter what time of day it happens. I love writing in general, whether it be in the wee morning mid afternoons or late at night, I'm up for it well only when I feel inspired or something. I write when I can at least. Lately it hasn't been all that much.

I see you get inspirations from your sorroundings. You probably have great views out there. as for me thou, i really dont have such. but i think better when everything is quiet. that can be midnight or at dusk or even afternoon as long as its quiet and cozy. im easily distracted with noises.

Most of the time its in the middle of the day. There have been times late at night too. I have actually gone to bed and something comes to my mind, a thought for my book and instead of putting my computer back on I just start writing in my book. I love it when the words just coming rushing thru me and I can't write fast enough, that when its great.

I'm one of those people that doesn't actually have a set time. When something strikes me, I run with it, and that's just how things are. I think most often I write in the evenings, though. That's usually when I actually have time because during the day I'm busy doing other things, so once it hits about 11 I'm free to write and relax and such.

Best time for me is at night. Absolutely no disturbance, no noise, nothing! It helps me concentrate on my writing task. Also, at night I get good ideas, don't the reason though, but it happens naturally with me. I maintain a diary too, and I update it at night.

I like writing at night. It's when the surroundings are quiet, and I can concentrate. At night is the time when I can pretty much do anything I want without distractions or last-minute errands, so there. As long as there's ink and paper, it's good, as long as my background music doesn't get to the neighbors. :)

The best time for me is in the evening when the house is quiet and I feel that I'm alone in the world and ready to explore my mind. "The Living Past" is the product of this preferred timing, altho' the book is my autobiography, it helped me to remember the events of life.
