The Nation celebrates another Independence day, reminding everyone of of the heroic deeds of patriots and the true freedom is a work of progress.
Victory is in an upheaval or war only liberates a nation from an oppressive force but also signals that the journey to progress and perhaps real independence is only beginning.
in such struggles, heroes emerge.
We recall not only the gallantry of soldiers but also the contributions of writers and orators, visionaries and leaders. These are men and women of extraordinary valor who led us through difficult and sometimes hopeless times in our history.
Today, as we face challenges of nation building and even new foes like economic recession and an epidemic, we need new heroes that will lead the charge of true independence.

I agree with Spoilbrat here, we had heroes before but time in again they change and started choosing their own political and selfish roles in the government. Heroes that you see in T.V. is merely a fantasy. reality is that we are the heroes in our own way of helping the community. most specially that now most people likely the youth are active and interested in voting. and vigilant in reporting those people who are cheating during elections. Corrupt has become part of the political and government system in this country. I hope by next year, we could finally make a little bit of difference.

It's quite funny now a days that we are still looking for new heroes here in the Philippines. In my own honest opinion the heroes of today are those honest low wage earner Filipino. There salary might be low but it's clean and honest earn. A hero does not need those fancy references from other people but a hero is the one who helps other succeed without expecting a gain and contributes something for the good of the country. It might be basic contribution but at least they have made a difference to the country and his/her country men

Because they are not popular they just do their work for their love of their country... That's the real hero
