pop corn.. why is pop corn related with watching movies???

well... there was one tym when I and my friends went to see a movie.. i barely remember the title of the movie.. we lined up on the ticketing queue and then we had our ticket.. then i already invited them to enter the movie house but then one of my friend said that we have to buy pop corn for watching movie ill not be complete without eating a pop corn while enjoying the movie.. duh? i dont see any logic there.. well, we can have any foods aside from pop corn... ryt? is there any history behind these thing? just askin...

Wow...this question got me thinking...lol!!!
I just realized that I've always loved eating popcorn, when watching movies, and surfing the net (I actually have one with me right now). Maybe this is because, they are easy to munch on while your all eyes to what you are doing. Like I can't unwrap a candy while watching..it'll just disturb me. It is very easy...and maybe because...I simply love it's taste. I especially love butter fflavored popcorn...more than the more popular cheese flavor though
