My friend just asked me this and it made me think... He text a friend and they responded to him. But then they called and was like why haven't i heard from you. He was like i text you and you wrote me back so what are you talking about. The person was like they didn't get the text and they called from their cell... so is it possible for 2 people to have the same cell phone number??? or is the person playing games???

No such as it impossible to have the same numbers but it is possible that different numbers can be really similar...such as in many cases if you try to invert just 1 or more numbers you will find a new existing ones!!!
If this happened, but i guessed not this a big mistake from your provider but i think it is not possible at the present..also because if somebody call this'sahred'number two phones will ring?noo..i think this not normal...may be it can be a mistake but never heard about it!!

No it is not possible that two people have the same number. It so happens that at times, the text gets missed. Or the person who recieves the text messages, erases it off by mistake or didnot want to respond to the text message.
It could also be possible that the person who is typing the message, keyed in the wrong number. But it is better to check with the customer care of the service provider of the reciever whether two people have been issued with the same number by mistake.

From what i understand its impossible for someone to have the same number as another person. The companies who assigned those numbers go through a directory and can see if a number is available or not. I would check numbers to make sure you sent it to the exact number as the one he called from. He may just be messing with you.

Hi Wilulvme,
As far as my understanding goes, its impossible to have 2 cell phones with same number. Now it could absolutely happen that you misplace your sim card, the telephone company provides you a new one and you get your no, but somehow the one that you misplaced has not been de-activated....thats the only scenario i can think of where 2 cells can have the same number....
Otherwise speaking from the telephone company perspective its IMPOSSIBLE.....
