Mice discussion.... You are having a nice Avatar of Kurt Cobain.It catched my eyes. Yes!! You are right..Pictures do attract people's attention.Thats why I prefer uploading related picture with my discussion.So,as to get maximum posts. I personally believe that I respond only to those discussions which attract my attention. The topic of the discussion should be a good one. I always respond to the discussions started by my friends.

Harsh- Though I'm a very visual person I can't say it does. I tend to go with those topics that interest me. I also answer quite a few friend's post, or at least I try to, and that affects how many I answer, etc. However, when just randomly visiting the various interests on Mylot that I have, I go with the topic at hand. If it is something I feel I wish to discuss, then I do so. If not, I go away. I don't look at an avatar and think "They are so sexy I think I'll respond". Ok, maybe with my husband's avatar, but you know. Namaste-Anora

yes it helps, especially when the avatar is the real picture of the person, that adds an interesting part of it. also, if the avatar has also a picture of a thing that is also interesting and good to look at too.
