You will sleep in front of your TV, if is a boring show or mouvie?

I have fallen asleep in front of the tv and at 3am in the morning woke up freezing cold to find my son looking at me as he had woken up and noticed i was not in bed.He asked me if it was a good cartoon i was watching,i said oh yes and saw there was a advert on the tv that was a cartoon advert.Later that day he told all his friends mummy was watching his cartoons,now they all want me to watch cartoons with them,not good.

A great discussion topic! Me and my mother often joke about how the sort of sleep that we get in front of the TV is like no other! It's the most intoxicating type of sleep that would be great to experience when trying to sleep in one's bed!

The only time I fall asleep infront of the TV is if I am actually really tired, in which case I probably should have just gone to bed in the first place. If a movie or show is boring, I won't keep it on. I will get up and change the channel. Life's too short to waste time with boring stuff, awake or aslleep.

I am leaving the tv and if can not change the channel or can not change the cd/dvd. There is no sense in watching that you are not interested to watch because it is boring. Do other work or watch other show.

I won't fall asleep if I can change channels and take total control of the television/movies. If not, I may fall asleep even before the intermission. This happen a lot during family time for DVD. Since the movies sux and my family still want to watch it, I have no choice but to tag along. I usually sleep after it start for a while and wake up when everyone makes fuss how the story end and suggest another movie. Nobody notice I am asleep though (or they just ignore me), we switch off all the lights while watching it.

There is nothing like a good sleep in the recliner, all covered up in a nice warm comforter. I just hate to get up and go to bed!
