In general, women tend to be more emotional than men. On that premise, one may conclude that even in relationship, women are the more emotional parties. There are exception to most rules, however. Other factors that may affect the level of emotion a person displays in a relationship include: personality (maybe whether introvert or extrovert), environment, upbringing, circumstance, etc.
One reason why men tend to be less emotional is the wrong notion that a man is suppose to be strong and that (unnecessary) display of emotion implies weakness. Nothing could be farther from the truth! In conclusion, almost all human beings are emotional in various degrees and in relationship, it is often say that opposite attracts. So, maybe, it may be better for two persons in a relationship to have contrasting level of display of emotion.

As you say, it varies from person to person. In general, I feel that women feel more comfortable expressing their emotions, whereas many men have been brought up to keep their emotions hidden on the inside. It doesn't mean they are less emotional. It only means that they express in differently than a woman might.
Very good question, by the way.

When angery men seem to be more emotional. For women when a women is hurt she can be very emotional. I think emotion is even in men and women. I think that they express emotion in different ways. For example: women show emotion in almost everything we do. men often only show emotion when angery. Some men do show emotiona at other time but that is not a common case I don't belive.
