I was just wondering the role of (bodily) touch in relationship. Is it important to you? When I say bodily touch, I mean hugging, petting, kissing, pat on the back, etc. I'm not from culture where touching is encouraged as a therapy. However, I feel touching someone at the right part of the body may be a great help to show affection, sympathy, support, and so on. Please share your views with me so that I can learn more.

Such gestures, could help strenghten relationship this not only makes u feel comfortable etc. but it could helps one feels to belong to. I agree, that not all these gestures were not applicable to all countries, japan is a great example to that.

Proper usage of touching warms up every good relationship making it even better. It conveys a ton of wonderful thoughts without one saying a word!

I think that touching is definitely one of the ways to bring a relationship to a higher level. There is greater danger for both parties but they have to take the risks. Cheers!!

touching such as hugging and kissing i feel is important as it makes me feel close to my fiance and safe, as if nothing can hurt me. if im ever upset or anything i always know i can get a cuddle from him no matter what he is doing. being able to hold one another for hours on end is one of the best things that can happen i feel =]
