Hey, MyLotters! I've been a soccer fan for a few years now, but I haven't yet decided which USA teams or international teams to cheer for (obviously, I'm rooting for the USA during the World Cup. lol). Can anyone give me the scoop on some good teams?

Indeed there is a most excellent international team which has its own interest section on here with approx 50 followers. The team is the world renowned Panaithinaikos.

I've just realised that may possibly be misinterpreted. The team of course has millions of fans but it has a core support of 50 myotters. Of course they could be accused of being a little biased as they are some of my friends on here.

Hi, cool! Nice to see someone discussing soccer...still trying to find a group of myloters to discuss these issues, but it seems no one likes soccer, here..lol.. :p Well, as for your discussion, what can i tell you, my friend. First, Spain is getting stronger. They are, currently, number one on the Fifa Ranking. They have exceptional players like Fernando Torres (one of the best strikers in the world), David Villa (this players is being scouted by Real Madrid and he´s one of the best on his position) or Iniesta (great midfielder, he scored the astonishing goal that leaded Barcelona to the Champions Legue Cup Final - the most important clubs based tournament in Europe). Second, Brazil is a very very strong team, they ended first on qualifyings for the World Cup. Then you have their ethernal rival, Maradona´s Argentina, a little irregular, lately (Argentina - with Maradona as theis Coach - have won only 2 games, in their last 4, being that they lost 6-1 against Bolivia!). But these two teams have players like Messi (probably the best player in the world, at the moment - even better than Cristiano Ronaldo, who won best player last year), Kaka, Maicon, Pato, Robinho, Ronaldinho, Cambiasso, Tevez, Milito, Aguero, Riquelme...etc etc... Third, you have the second placed Team in the last World Cup...France. They have won their last two games but, personally, i think their not at their best. Still, they are theoretically very strong as they have top notch players like Ribéry, Anelka or Thierry Henry. To finalize, i think there are some few very strong teams which can win the Cup: Germany (number three in the Fifa Ranking); England (they have being playing very well and have brilliant players such as Lampard, Rooney or Gerrard); Netherlands (number two in the Fifa Ranking); and, last but not least, my team...Portugal...we have Cristiano Ronaldo, but to tell you the truth, i really don´t believe we will go very far...and why? The team is not playing well, the players are not feeling the jersey as they should...the team is wrecked...but still, i have to have some hope, afterall i´m portuguese (at least half of me)... Hope i helped you, cool...and don´t forget one thing...the best club in the whole world is, by far, Benfica... ;) Peace
