God has revealed himself to mankind over the ages many different times thru many different persons and in many different ways. Many different religions have been founded because of this. Probably many religions have been founded, flourished, and faded away that modern man never even knew existed. God loves mankind and would never not reveal himself. Through out time to all of mankind God has sent his message and mankind has responded by founding the many different religions. So, of course, all religions are worthy of respect.
What is the problem then that there is so much disagreement among religions? The problem is not with God's message and religion. The problem is with man! Men have always taken God's word and twisted it to suit their own purposes. Unfortunately, one of those purposes is world conquest thru warfare.
What then is a person to do? Try to find the messages from God that seem to appear in almost all religions. These are more likely to be the true word of God and less likely to be the pervision of God's word by someone of mankind trying to do evil in God's name.
To sum it up, all religions contain a kernal of truth and are worthy of some respect, but all religions have a member of mankind in charge of that truth and the truth is often polluted with lies to suit the purposes of someone other than God.

The problem with what I have expressed as to a kernal of truth in all religion is the corollary that all religion contains aspects that are fradulant and contary to God's true message. When spoken as a generality, it sounds pretty good. When you get to specifics in regards to any religion, be it Christianity or Islam or whatever, you will anger many people. So, let's try to mention it just enough to get people thinking.

I am a Hindu, because I was born one. I believe that the core values all religions preach are essentially the same. The paths different, the destination is the same. As such, a religion is an individual's path to the way he or she lives life and towards an ultimate goal, whatever it may be for each person. There is in my belief no right or wrong religion, and no perfect religion. As such, I respect each individual's path to their destination and truly believe in the value systems every religion preaches.

I've never really known anyone of a different religion than I am, but I do respect other religions immensely and love learning more about them. The only way to have peace is to understand other faiths.

I do respect other religions. It is the people who bring a bad name to other religions I have a problem with. Take the terrorists who use Islam as a mask for thier hate. Terrorists are NOT Muslims. They don't practice the tenets of Islam. They are not Holy people. They USE Islam to justify their selfish agendas. They make innocent Muslims look bad and bring the world's rath on innocent people. There is nothing good about terrorists because they kill and maim innocent people.

I personally beleive that everyone needs to believe in something and who am I to tell them it's not true? I beleive in things others don't and I have a right to that just as anyone else on this planet does, I'll never discriminate religiously. :) +

I have no problem with any religion. I think to each their own, live and let live etc. The one time i WILL get up in arms about anything is if they come knock on my door. I find people soliciting their religion to me at my OWN home is rude and ought to be treated as an intrusion. I don't go peddle my beliefs to anyone and i don't want anyone to do that to me. :)

i am tolerant to other religions because you do not need to be a religious bigot whereby you condemn them unnecessarily and even provoke the adherents of such beliefs to conflicts. The whole world cannot unite to worship in the same faith. There`ll always be diversity in human beliefs. What you belief may not be what i belief. For example, you might believe in the existence of God while another person might not belief at all.

I have respect for anyone reguardless of religion. As far as I'm concerned religion is a personal thing.I don't go to church or have a structured religion.I do however have my own beliefs and am tolerant of any religion as long as it's not shoved down my throat and they don't try to convert me.
