Well I learned a lesson today. My purse was stolen from my car at work. I should of put it in the trunk but I figured if someone saw me put it in there and wanted it they could pick the lock anyhow. I am now in the process of getting a new license, social security card & even my birth certificate. Next time I wont carry all those in my purse. They even went on a spending spree with MY money. It was actually my very first check because I just started a new job. The bank is investigating so I should get my money back eventually. I had to leave the job I just started early in order to drive to the bank and cancel my account as soon as I found out at my lunch time. It's really sad that people have to steal and can't get there own.

I have lost my purse twice, both the times I was travelling in a bus. Once I ws sleepign in a bus and somebody took it. Once I had $20 in it and the other time $2. Both the times the difficult task was to cancel my debit and credit cards and get the new one.
I can understand your irritation and sadness in loosing your money because I have gone through the same situation. I am sorry my friend. Be little more careful here onwards. I am very careful now a days after experiencing the snatching twice.

I've never had my purse stolen, but my best friend did. It is a real pain going round canceling cards and getting new ones! She had a couple of hundred dollars cash in her purse too, but the money wasn't the thing that she was most concerned about losing. It can be hard trying to get new cards, like a new bank card, when they want to see ID, but you don't have any because it all got stolen!
Hope your day improves from here!
