I am in the market for a new set of pots and pans that will last me for a while.
I know they won't be cheap, but needed a bit of insight as to the best brand and if i should pick stainless steel or nonstick.
Any one have any input?

This a tricky situation because different brands make their pans to different quality. Expensive doesn't always mean they'll be good. It depends what you'll be cooking, i.e. slow cooked casserole/stew or just for boiling vegetables. My current pan set cost around £35 and they've lasted a long time. They're not a known brand and were bought from Argos, stainless steel with glass lids. However, I had to buy a more expensive non-stick frying pan because I don't like stainless steel frying pans.
