2 question about cooking flank steak?

First of all the lady on tv is using a grill pan which I don't have.
Is it ok in a fry pan?
Also, is this cut of meat marked as flank steak at the store?

flank steak can very well be cooked in a fry pan. The cut is a bit less tender than other parts.. Best results if you marinate for 4-5 hrs before, will tenderize the meat and give it a kick.
