Hi all,If no one was in a relationship, i.e. everyone was free and available, who would you wish to date, and why?I would love to go out with several people, not at the same time of course, but mostly to know them in personal, to get their take on many things, to ask a bazillion questions. My picks: President Barack Obama, Tom Hanks, Billy Graham, Maya Angelou and Dr. Ruth. This isn't a romance thing for me, but more a get to know you thing.
Your reasons can be your own, naturally. Do share!Karen

I like this question. Well, if I am available to date anyone the first person I want to have a date with is David Beckham like you it is not of a romance thing but I just want to know him personally. I want to be able to have picture with him. Second, that would be with Boy Abunda. He is a very good tv personality in our country and I just want to meet him and learn things with him. I think he is a smart person. Well, for now I'm still thinking some other people I want to have date with.

Thank you very much! But honestly, I would really want to meet a lot of people who I think have an impact to me and to the world. But I can't just date all of them at the same time, wouldn't I?! (LOL!) I just wanted to know them and see them in person and be able to be part of their lives even just for awhile. That alone, I can say I'll be the most successful person in the whole world. But even if it will not happen coz I know it's impossible for me to date them. I'll just read their biography, in that way, somehow I can say I have been a part of their lives as a reader. I don't know if I am making sense. (LOL!)

You do make sense :) Like you, I would want to just know and talk with and learn from many people...just for a while, just for the experience.

David Beckham is well known in the US, too. Very skilled individual. I imagine having your picture taken with him would be very exciting. It would make a nice "keepsake." I have not seen Boy Abunda. Your choices are nice!

Hmmmmmmm...... This is a platonic date right, so no romance involved? Excellent! I guess it would have to be someone wealthy so they could take me somewhere top notch and pick up the tab! lol. Nah, I too would go for someone that I'd be able to have a long and fruitful conversation with. Having a good laugh would be great too. Robin Williams or Billy Connolly would be hilarious, so great for the funny factor angle. Stephen Hawking, Bill Gates or the Dalai LLama would be an interesting choice for intellectual stimulation; and seeing as I'm a male who's just chosen all males, I guess I'd have to say Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba or Jessica Biel for the brag factor. To be honest I have no interest in these women, but it would be a great thing to boast about at the water cooler!

When you're done talking with the Dalai LLama, I want to talk to him. I need some wisdom. You must like the "J" sound in female names. Yours lady picks all have that factor :D Robin Williams is fascinating. I saw him play a psychotic killer in a rerun of Law and Order last night. He does serious just as well as he does comedy.
Great choices, by the way.

I agree! I've seen him on talk shows, and when he's on a role, he talks 100 miles an hour, too. But no doubt, the man is some kind of genius. :D

I have met celebrities before, and I have spent time with some interesting people, but I am only interested in one man and that is the man that I am with right now.

The purely fun and selfish side would pick Johnny Depp, and no not as himself. He'd have to get back into character as Captain Jack Sparrow...accent, swagger and all! lol Nothing romantic. I just want to stare and watch him walk and listen to him talk all pirate at me. Sigh... *mops up drool*
On a serious note, I'd have to say Marianne Williamson, Mya Angelou, and Jon Edwards (the medium). Jon Edwards because I've always been fascinated and would love a reading, whether I believe it's real or not. Marianne Williamson because I would love to pick her brain on certain matters. Maya Angelou because she's a poet and would love to know how she gets her inspiration, as well as her process in writing, never mind that I could listen to her talk for hours.

Hi! What a hard question :)
If anyone is available, oohh..I want to date many :)..well, I will date :
1. My husband, once again (since I only date him for a year and then got married), but this time I want him to be a lot younger, lol, and with longer relationship time before we tie the knot.
2. Sir Richard Branson of Virgin records. Just love him for everything :), and I would love to learn from a man like him that I consider a successful man.
3. A lecturer that I had crush to when I was still at the uni, lol.
4. The late Adolf Hitler and Pol Pot of Khmer Rouge -- I would love to discuss with them of what they have in mind.
5. Last but not least, must be the late Abraham Lincoln and Mahatma Gandhi -- for all what they have done in their past life. I would like to learn from them :)

I love your line of reasoning! To date those with such wisdom and Lincoln, Gandhi...how great that would be. And yes, those like Hitler. I always wonder what on earth goes through minds like his to have prompted the horrible things he did. Thank you for such interesting answers : )

Hmmm.. to date anyone in the world? Just one?? Hmm.. quite hard.. But I think that would be Chad Michael Murray =D hahah.. I wanted to know why he broke up with Sophia Bush hehehe =D plus I'd like to know many things about his childhood. I heard he's been bullied in high school and I'd like to us how does that feel and what inspired him to succeed in his field.
Next on my list would be Prince William hehe.. I'd like to ask him about his plans if he became the King =D and I'd also like to know more about him, the way he wanted to be remembered and everything about him. Hehe =D
But for the serious thing, I'd like to date Oprah co'z like Chad I also wanted to know more about his early years =D

Great choices. I forgot to put Oprah on my list. Now that is one fascinating and successful lady. I think if we really could choose to date anyone in the world, we would pick people we want to know better, people for whom we have questions or from whom we'd love to learn something!

It is hard getting back into dating after a divorce. Thinking of how to answer this discussion might actually be a help for you :) The beauty is, you can pick who, and you can pick why, and you can decide how this virtual date would go.

If this was just a friendly date, I'd date a rich person, so I could get treated to some nice restaurant etc.
I like your approach though I'd also date several people alternatively. It'd be a great way to get ot know everyone.

Yes, wouldn't this be a wonderful way to know people we are curious about or whose talents and wisdom we admire? So, if you're going to date someone wealthy and go to that posh restaurant, might as well get some ideas of how to put your own ideas into to building a great career : ) Thank you for adding to the discussion!
