I am already confused, some said grilling your favorite fish is nutritious but nowadays there's something we carcinogen. This occurs during grilling foods. This thing can cause cancer. I was wondering what we gonna do now. Shall we never grilled our fish and pork or something? Let's share your opinion about this..thanks

I heard a long time ago about a study that when they grilled their steaks they found carcinogens in them. However what did they do with the steaks? They ate them of course! Quite frankly there are carcinogens in a lot of things I am sure. Apparently french fries have carcinogens in them too, but a lot of people seem to eat them and do not get sick so who can you believe? I am sure a moderate amount of grilled fish is on the whole healthier for you than having no fish at all. Poaching or steaming is another way to enjoy fish but I'm sure if they did a study they would find something wrong with that to. Just keep eating the fish, something is going to get you sooner or later, so you might as well enjoy the ride, even if that means eating grilled fish.

Grilled food is very healthy, but I agree that when it is burnt, there is the presence of carcinogens. I think the best way is to grill it carefully, making sure that the meat is well cooked and not burnt at the same time. If parts of the meat/fish is burnt (and sometimes it can't be avoided) then just don't eat that part. For us grilled food is important because my dad is not allowed to eat fried food so we purposely bought a grill so he can grill instead of fry his favorite fish.

I understand that my friend. I had a good idea of grilling and yet it would not be burned. We used to wrap it with aluminum foil and the result would be so good and smells deliciously...thanks for responding..

I think it is the case of too much of everything... eating grilled fish or any meat once in a while is not a bad thing but eating that kind of food everyday is so not good for the health... when i have a craving for it... i buy grilled fish... but that is like just once every two weeks...

Yes, but what about those grilled lover really, did they considered carcinogen in the grilled foods? Anyhow, if it would be already your time to die you can't get away with it even though you're at the best of your health...

That's basically a crock! There are more carcinogens in the air you're breathing than are created by grilling meat of any kind. The carcinogens are created with you overcook (extremely well done) food and the outside is basically burned. I don't know of many people that will eat anything that charred.

hello...i think grilled fish or meat is delicious as always but too much of it might harm us...but i think most of our foods now have risk factor for our health...sometimes even vegetables and fruits might harm us because of the pesticides that are used...so the best thing to ensure safety on foods we eat is to clean it well, eat in moderation and pray before eating...hehehehe but anyway its not bad to eat grilled foods , don't hold yourself back from eating these foods...if we're going to die and its our time no matter how healthy our eating habit is...we will still die...so just enjoy eating while we're still alive!
