I take a more active approach. If I am somewhere where I cannot bother anybody, I like to scream and stamp my feet like a child.
When I am at home, I put on loud heavy music and either play air guitar (fake) and give myself a headache head banging or I hold weights and throw punches for around 20 minutes. Usually when I am stressed, I get angry and impatient so I need to release that.

when i feel that i am stressed for the day i usually play a little with my pets and talk to them, then have a rest, yes close my eyes and relax my mind...and i am presently in taking of this stress tab vitamins and i think it works for me...

Well I like to sit alone for sometime but that doesn't relieve my stress and the more I think the more I get tensed about it.So I try not to think too much. I would watch tv for sometime or I spend time with kids. They seem to bring the positive energy back to me. Then I realize that life is just not about our petty selfmade problems, Allah (swt) has given us so much to be pleased with and yet we always find something to cry about. So I try to let go my worries and look at the different side of life for sometime and it sure releases my stress and make me a bit normal. Though the pain remains...

I think meditation is the best way to reliever from the stress. Do YOGA, yoga is really stress removal. Many people have good exp. with YOGA. You can purchase CD for YOGA and start doing.

I always wonder how people do that? Because when I get stressed or upset, I don't intentionally want to get up and start doing anything, I don't feel like eating, exercising or even going for a walk. I get so lazy that i just want to sit or sleep at my bed. The only thing which kind of shifts my attention gradually from my tension to something else is tv or interaction with kids or people I like.
So don't you guys feel the same? How come you get ready and go out or meditate/exercise at home? I just don;t feel like doing anything like this at all :s

Take a hot bath, drink some tea, do yoga, stretch your muscles, do some exercise, watch funny movies, read a book, do cross-word puzzles, go on vacation, scream as loud as you can, shake off the negative energy, go for a walk, listen to some music, relax your body, take deep breaths and get more sleep.

i think the best way to relieve stress is listen to music.
when i feel depressed . unhappy or under a heavy stress. i like to turn the video up and enjoy the music which i'm interested.
this way can relax your body and let you in a good mood gradually.
because when you listen the music you'll have no need to think about other boring things.
