A friend of mine is desperately looking for a job and happens that a tiny ad that says 'looking for sales personnel, own transport, self-motivated and basic+commission equals RM5K p/mth'. With high hope, he went for the interview immediately after receiving the call as the interviewer has gave a challenge for the job opportunity. During the interview, he was told that the basic pay is below RM1K and yet he accepted. Few days later, he discovered that the interviewer is not a decision maker...lol. He was then turned down...bad management huh! Worst still, my friend seen numbers of responses from the ad during the interview.
Looking into today's challenging world, an advertiser no longer shows a good ethic in publishing a classifieds especially to find out if the employers are genuinely offering the job seekers as mentioned on the classifieds or it is merely a gimmick in order for them to receive more respondents. And at the same time the little tiny ad costs less than RM100 compared with much hope and desperation of job seekers out there in getting the job for a living. Watch out! Conned Man.
