I will bet that there is no way you can earn a decent pay online. If anyone feels that he will get some good online job and good online pay than I would suggest stop dreaming. No way you can earn online doing ptc's,blogging, playing games etc. you can earn 15-20 dollars a month after doing all these but not more than that-so stop dreaming. Playing games, blogging, ptc,s, doing surveys require a lot of patience. In fact there are some sites which will make you work online and then run away without making any payment.
What I would suggest,if you are really interested in online job, then better go for medical transcription kind of thing. You take a training, work for sometime and then start your own medical transcription business from home. But for that you should always have a genuine client who can give you a genuine project on a regular basis. Never trust middle-man.
This is what I can tell you my friends--coz I tried a lot to earn a good paycheck doing online job but all in vain. You will get tired, you will lose your patience and finally you will earn some cents or dollars which can hardly pay your internet bill and electricity bill.
So I can bet that their is no solid or good source of income online.

Well I don't think these sites are meant to supply to the user a steady source of income - just a little extra coin to have. No one should be relying solely on these places for money because you're right, it's not enough to pay bills, let alone buy food or pay rent or anything like that. My mom works completely on the computer though, as a customer service technician for Comcast, and makes pretty good money by doing that. So for people who prefer to work on the computer, you should consider that ;D Interesting suggestion on the medical transcription thing. I didn't know you could start that kind of thing from home, so that's pretty cool.

Thank you sinfulfox for ur response. Yes you can start your own home based medical transcription business but it requires some time. Initially you have to go for a training, and you have to gather some work experience --only then you can start from home. You should also have some good clients--the income is too good.
You said your mom works as a customer service technician for comcast--is it from home ? or from office? If your mom is working as a customer service technician from home than pls let me know--I would love to do that kind of work.

Yes, she works from home! :D She's got her own room and her shift is only 4 hours but you can apply for extra hours if you'd like. She just sits in there and you get a headset that plugs into your laptop and you talk. You have to take like a month of training though and my mom had to do that from 3pm to 10 at night every day, and during your training, you aren't allowed to take any days off. That part was kind of tough, but once you are done with that, it's not so strict. You also can't have any background noise though, like dogs barking or kids laughing or screaming, and if you're found to have those kinds of sounds during your calls, you might get fired. That part kinda sucks, because then I have to make sure my little brother stays quiet while she works, but I understand it. If you're looking for a good stay at home job, then I'd say it's pretty good, if you're patient enough to go through the training.

I've tried working from home but it was always a low paying customer service type position. After finding a company that hires telecommuters I was able to make a decent living without going into a "traditional" office. It's been great for me and my family.

Some the ways you mentioned are bad was to make money online, but I think blogging can be a good way to make money or even a living online if done right. However if you have the attitude that you can't make a living online you won't.
There are plenty of people making a living online and they are no different than you and I they just kept to it until it worked for them. I am doing the same thing and I can see my earnings growing. Positive attitude my friend, positive attitude.

I was never interested in doing medical transcription. But then again, I have a different skill set. My online freelance writing is just an extension of doing freelance writing in the print and commerical markets. And it is hard work, whether you do your freelancing online or otherwise.

I beg to differ from you. It is true that it is not easy to earn online. no business is easy for that matter. You need to work hard to start earning online. You can't achieve it in a few weeks. It may take some months to get decent income. If you could build a solid referral downline, I think you can earn good income online. If you want to earn from blogging you will have to work harder.

I don't think you could use any of the methods you mentioned as a serious primary source of income for a whole family but I firmly believe that anyone can use the internet as means for a secondary source of income. Will you make hundreds a month? Probably not, but it's not hard to earn over a hundred if you use more than one site and dedicate a few wasted moments a day to your pursuit of making money online.
