I think movies stars are way overpaid. We as the small people scrape by for a living and get nothing but minium wadge or alittle more. I understand they are celebrities but I really think they are overpaid. The only reason why people go after them and want an autograph is because they have money. If you take away the money, plastic surgry, hair extentions, and makeup do you really think people would make a huge deal about them. They would be like you and me. I would definetly love to get paid there wadge. They deal with the poperatzi everyday I think I could Handel that. It would be interesting.

they need to put a freeze on how much money they make on a movie or song....if they took some of that money back and put it back in the gov. we would be out of this "debt" we are in now.....why should they be intitled to all that anyway, all they have to do is remember a few lines and there billionairs. or make some stupid rhyme and there set for life

I agree with you 150%. This is something I have been saying for along time. It has to do with what America values. We highly value entertainment and will pay ridiculous prices for it. They could not make these exorbitant salaries if we did not pay for the tickets, DVD's, licensed memorabilia, concerts, etc. That is why they think they can command so much money. They justify it by saying they work so hard but most of the actual work is done on the backs of other people only making a fraction of what the "stars" make. In reality they are already like you or me. Do you realize how many "regular" people have just as much talent or more? they have just not had the recognition or exposure. I do not take anything away from the work and talent they do have, but I do feel they are highly overpaid.

Hi tuckersheri, Some of these celebrities should be paid minimum wage, as you mentioned, just because of the rubbish that's put on the screen. They are practically paid a surgeon's wage. But remember, they also have to deal with stalkers and photographers at every corner. I like my privacy, so being a star doesn't interest me. What I never understood is with all the money they make, why not live in a less expensive house, who needs a mansion, they have to waste even more money to hire a housekeeper. Or if their mansion is in California, the wildfires can take it. It all seems such a waste.

Tom Cruise was paid $75,000,000 for one movie...plus royalties! I think that is a crime. No one could possibly be worth that much for acting...because it is not even real work! And though some actors return what they earn into charity works...most just get into trouble trying to spend it all.
