What Happens After We Die?

Tell me what you think happens after death. Do you believe in ghosts? Do you believe in heaven and hell? How does what you believe about life after death affect the way you live day to day? If you don't believe in life after death, give me your reasons and how you came to that conclusion.

I firmly believe this can't be all there is. I think we're reincarneated a number of times until we really get this life thing right, then retire to heaven.

Hi debrakcarey, I believe that there is a heaven and a hell. We don't go to heaven by being a good person though, but by accepting that Jesus is the Son of God, and that He was sent to die for our sins. None of us is perfect, only Jesus is perfect. Some say that God sends people to hell, but God doesn't send them to hell, they send themselves to hell by rejecting Jesus and His love and forgiveness. I am a non-denominational Christian, and we are taught that when we die we are either in the presence of God (heaven), or hell (eternal aloneness). I read the King James Bible. Life is so short, please don't miss the free gift that Jesus gives.

Hi clutterbug...I am a Christian as well! Thanks for your explanation of God's gift of eternal life. It is what I believe as well.
I would like for others to keep responding....I am interested in what you believe without judgement.

So what you are saying is that even if you are a wonderful person, if you are not religious you will go to hell, and if you are a disgusting human being but confess your sins and believe in jesus, you shall go to heaven.
Any God that acts such way is no God but a dictator.

Religion has nothing to do with it.
Repentance has everything to do with it.
A true change of heart.
God does not honor an unrepentant person who tries to buy his way into a relationship with Him. Would you? God is not impressed with 'religious' people. Just as you are not.
