Some friends surprise you.

I have many "friends". But the most surprising thing happened the other day. You see, I have a home based business, and things have been going south. So, at one of the social networking sites I belong to (Facebook, but this is a discussion on friendship, so, shhh) I began to appeal to my friends for help, thinking that one of my closer friends would do something. Instead, someone that I least expected stepped in. Actually, the friends who stepped in to buy something are a young married couple I used to work with, and am friendly with, but we were never buddy-buddy. They're nice, and we all like each other, but they seem to care more about the trouble that my business has been in lately than those I've known for a lot longer, and have counted as true friends. The ones I've hoped would help mom and I have been there for in the past. This young couple of whom I speak, on the other hand, are simply friendly people who work at the box store that I used to work at. Friends in need are truly friends indeed.
