Back Pack or Shoulder/Sling Bags?

Which do you find more convenient? I'm a big fan of shoulder bags, because they're stylish, but I really have no stress when I wear a back pack. I jam all of my things into it, and when I walk around, I don't have to keep on switching my bag from one shoulder to another. Sling is alright too, but I kind of have trouble walking when it's too heavy. What about you?

I prefer backpack. i can put everything in the bag but sometimes I'm using shoulder bag, but it usually drop from my shoulder, I don't like it and my shoulder hurt if I'm only using one shoulder, so I had to use both for shoulder sake.

backpack for school since other bags make the body prone for scoliosis plus it's comfortable and shoulder bag for night outs because of it's functionality and as you said, it's stylish!:)

During my senior year, I was totally obsessed with sling/shoulder bags and I had to have one the entire year. I went through two that year (one broke halfway through) and I refused to get anything else. I found out, though, when I started walking home that shoulder/sling bags aren't very functional. They started to hurt my shoulder because of all the heavy books I had to lug around for homework and switching from one shoulder to the other wasn't at all convenient. Plus, they began giving me back problems. So during college I switched to wearing a normal backpack and I had even MORE books packed into it than in high school, but it was much more comfortable than my old book bag. I didn't have back problems with that (or not so much) and it didn't make my shoulders hurt, so that's the one I'm choosing and staying with! I don't care if shoulder/sling bags look nicer, I'd rather be pain free than look stylish...hehe.

I prefer back packs. We know that shoulder bags are more stylish but they are a big pain on your shoulders. Unlike back packs, you carry the weight and it is distributed on your body as where as shoulder sling bangs, the weight is on one side of the body, giving an unbalance distribution which results to pain on the part which carriers the weight of the bag.

The sling bags are more stylish but if your a real student and you are actually learning in calss the backpacks are better. I hate school but I use a backback because I don't use my locker much so I have books in my bag. My backpack was really heavy when I was in school. I would have broken one of those sling bags.

I agree that shoulder bags are more stylish but they are murder on your shoulders and/or back. Think about putting that heavy bag over the same shoulder day in and day out--- you'll probably starting walking stooped over to that side:) I used to use a shoulder bag but was having such problems with my shoulder and upper back that I switched to a bagpack that has the waist strap as well. It's a little nerdy looking but I feel so much better!
