Just wanna get some point of view. Do you think fishing is a 'cruel' hobby? Undeniable fishing is a good way to train our patience. However, there are some friends around me feels that fishing is cruel cause we're killing the fish. And what do you think?

Well..I'm a vegetarian, and I haven't eaten fish (or any kind of meat) for about 7 years..So I'm going to be inclined to say that I agree that it's a CRUEL sport. A lot of people, surprisingly, totally disagree with me, and feel that since people have been doing it "forever", that it's become a right of passage (of sorts). Other people will argue that "fish don't feel" and so it doesn't matter if we catch them, kill them, and eat them. I find it to be horrendously cruel and I would never participate in it. Even if I (in some alternate universe..) wanted to, I probably wouldn't be able to stomach it anyway. It's kind of a savage ritual, if you ask me.
