Our VBS starts tomorrow night

Vacation Bible School time is here. This year we're doing "Boomerang Express: It all comes back to Jesus". It's an awesome theme that is set around railroads and trains and Australia.
I'm so excited, even though I'm in the nursery. We have a couple of babies whose mom's are teaching so we chose to have a nursery this year. Since have them on Sunday morning, we decided it would be better to have some stability. So I'm going to stay in there and Lauren is going to help in crafts this year.
Is your church having Bible School? What theme are you going to use? I know that my mom's church is doing a Hawaiian themed one.

A Hawaian theme? That sound so fun! This year we are making every Wednesday night in the summer Vacation Bible School. We're thinking it might make it easier for parents, and it is also easier for the teachers doing it because so many of them work during the day and into the early evening. I can't remember the theme because I'm not involved in it this year. All the kids love my dad (he'll be involved in a small part of it this year). In fact, there are some kids who go to another church, but since they know my dad, each year they come to Bible school just so they can see him. He's great with kids.

We have kids like that too. We have one young man that started coming to bible school when he was little bitty at Trinity. He and his mom go some where else but he loves VBS so much. He has some learning disabilities, but is the sweetest kid. Last year when he knew he was too old to go to class anymore after that VBS, he asked our director...where do I sign up for next year.
So Thad is helping to lead the preschoolers this year and they absolutely love him.
