I personally don't. I was raised in a Christian family and always went to church and all that stuff, but even as a kid I didn't think that what everyone was telling me was true. None of it made much sense to me, and then when I got older and started meeting people who were Buddhist or Athiest, or even Hindu, and realized that there were so many thousands of religions and philosophies out there, I decided to explore and look around at everything before choosing what I believed in myself.
I think people have religion and gods because they're afraid to believe that they are alone and helpless in the entire universe. They want something to reassure them that everything will be alright and that they aren't alone and that someone is always there for them. Or perhaps they need a meaning in their life, they need purpose.
After taking philosophy class, I think I'm an existentialist, which means I don't believe in a god or any all powerful deity, and that life itself is meaningless. There is no great plan that comes together at the end of time, and no one has a specific purpose. That might sound kind of depressing, but it's actually quite uplifting. See, existentialism is all about choices; choices are pretty much all you have in the world, and there is always a choice. Right this second you can choose to be happy, or to be sad. You can choose whatever you wish, and you have to be able to take responsibility for those choices and face the consequences. It's easy to blame God when something bad has happened, but it doesn't fix anything. Now, not saying that everything is under your control, because it's not. But that's the beauty in life - things happen. They change, for better or worse, and its up to you to choose what you want to do and how you react to those changes.
Existentialism is meant to allow us to break free from our ritualistic lives and realize that we should enjoy every moment we have while we're here. Live for the moment, and make the world a better place for those who come after us, so they can enjoy it, too. It's called tragic optimism, and I think it fits me very well, because I enjoy life - hanging out with friends, watching a sunset, spending a week in the mountains, listening to crickets chirping in the night... Life has so many beautiful things to show us and for us to experience, so we should go out and experience those things! It's about living life in color, not in black and white, and I don't need to believe in a higher being to do that. I make my own choices and decide my own fate.
And there's my little rant for today... XD

Faith means a lot to me, although I seldom go to a house of worship. I believe it is God who gives us the ability to think and create. There is a tiny spark in each of us that is a part of God. When things go wrong, it is our problem, just as it is our joy when things go well.We can't know God's reason for populating the planet, or for putting us here, but we can know God is with us, no matter what we get ourselves into!

I believe in God. I think you shouldn't asking for God to understand you. But before you say that, you should ask yourself first. Have you understand the God? Have you follow Him? Have you do all He asked and have you avoid all His prohibition? God is our creaturer. We, as human, are the highest level creature on this earth. Don't put ourselves as beggar by ask and ask and ask from God. God has a good plan for us. God will help you if you believe in Him. The problem now is on your own faith. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.
