Having Mr.Wenger at the helm, its crazy for us to assemble the squad for next season. But it would be rather interesting if we give it a try.
The squad assembled by Mr.Wenger for the last season as follows:
Almunia; Fabianski; Mannone; Hoyte; Szczesny; Gibbs; Sagna; Toure; Gallas; Song; Silvestre; Djourou; Senderos; Clichy; Gilbert; Ogog; Rodgers; Steer; V.Diaby; Fabregas; Rosicky; Nasri; Denilson; Wilshere; Barazite; Ramsey; Arshavin; Eboue; Bischoff; Coquelin; Emmanuel-Thomas; Lansbury; Merida; Randall; Frimpong; Walcott; Eduardo; Van Persie; Vela; Adebayor; Bendtner; Fonte
Preferred Starting XI:
Alumunia; Sagna; Toure; Gallas; Clichy; Walcott; Denilson; Fabregas; Nasri; Adebayor; Van Persie
Sub:
Vela; Diaby; Song; Djourou; Fabianski; Eboue; Bendtner
Other Notable Players:
Arshavin; Ramsey; Wilshere; Eduardo; Gibbs; Silvestre
From this, who would you think be at Emirates for next season? There are lot of youth players in the squad which makes the selection a bit complicated. Because they wouldn't be in the squad if they are short of potential. Such is the path set by Mr. Wenger that no one can mistake him.
But for the next season, we can try to second guess our Professor by trying to find out the possible signing for the squad and also about who should leave.
Our attacking quardent is all but complete even if Adebayor leaves the team because Van Persie has started contract talks with the club.
I would prefer a major change at the back starting from the GOALKEEPER.
Who could be our new NO.1:
Igor Akinfeev- Strong young lad from Russia
Sebastian Frey- Experienced keeper from France who plays for Viola
Diego Lopez- Yellow submarine stopper
These are to name a few who can be a strong foundation between the sticks.
Then we have to bring in strong, tall and experienced defenders to cover the back.
The choices could be Hangeland(Fulham), Zapate(Udinese), Upson(West Ham), Lescott(Everton) to name a few. We can also look out for young and promising ones like Sakho(PSG) and Thomas Vermaelen(Ajax).
The final and the most exciting position to be filled is the holding midfielder position which is currently occupied by Denilson, Song and Diaby. No one have commanded an authority in that position. They do not really for ideal partnership with Fabregas. Arsenal really missed players like Gilberto Silva and Flamini who left Arsenal during last summer. Who could be an ideal partner for Captain Fab?
Some of my choices for that role are Yaya Toure(Barcelona), Alonso(Liverpool)and Diarra(Real Madrid).
Potential NEW GUNNERS for the next season(My Choice)
Akinfeev; Vermaelen; Zapate; Alonso/Yaya
My choices who could LEAVE EMIRATES:
Adebayor; Gallas; Kolo Toure; Silvestre; Senderos; Bischoff; Eboue; Fabianski
So my STARTING XI would be:
Akinfeev; Sagna; Zapate; Vermaelen; Clichy; Walcott; Fabregas; Alonso/Yaya; Nasri; Arshavin; Van Persie
Sub:
Almunia; Djourou; Eduardo; Bendtner; Rosicky; Song; Denilson
Squad Players:
Diaby; Vela; Ramsey; Merida; Wilshere

I strongly feel that Kolo Toure has outlived his stay at the Emirates stadium; he should be off-loaded. My reasons are simple: he is old and made many mistakes. The last two seasons exposed his incosistencies, his reflex has become poore (I mean he does not recover quickly) and good strikers know that it's easier to by-pass him than any other Arsenal defender. Leskot, the Everton defender, is going to be a good replacement for Toure.
Age is telling on Emmanuel Eboue too but I love his overlapping run and crosses. So, he is still relevant in the team although he has to fight to make the starting eleven. I feel the Mexican, Vela, should be given more playing time to build up his confidence. He is going to be a great player.
For now, it seems Arsenal has no goal-keepers. The inconsistencies of Almunia cost Arsenal some good games in the past. He is a good keeper anyway but he seems not to be improving with age. I don't consider Fabianski as a goal-keeper fit for a team like Arsenal. So, Arsenal has to shop for another reliable goal-keeper as a matter of urgency.
In conclusion, I strongly feel that the major problem of Arsenal is that, the players do not mark their opponents strongly enough; they allow their opponents more than enough room to operate. I consider this rather absurd! With better marking of opponents and playing to hold on to the ball, Arsenal is going to achieve better success in future. Moreover, the players have to learn to sharpen their shooting skills and begin to shoot accurately even from outside the eighteen-yard box. Good luck Arsenal!

First and foremost Wenger should stop being Mr Scrooge and loosen up the purse strings a little . For a team of Arsenal's stature going 4 seasons withoiut trophy is absolutely unacceptable . I think we the fans have been too lenient so far but we must demand results as Arsenal charges one of the highest ticket prices in Europe ,on the other hand fills the team with deadwood like diaby and denilson who wouldnot even make the bench at Mancheter United or Chelsea .
Next season players I would like to see scrapped off from the roster is Diaby ,Denilson and Silvestre . As we all know Vermalaen is already been signed but I dont want to loose either Gallas or Toure unless Wenger brings ZAPATA OR Hangeland . Having four strong defenders is imperative for a long drawn out campaign . On the striking front I would ideally like Adebayor to leave but only is he is subsituted by a quality proven talent not some wannabe from the Ukrainian League .Most importantly we need a holding midfielder . Its high time wenger stops fiddling around with that position and get a proper midfielder

From what I hear Buffon might be in the sights of Arsene Wenger this year... If so then it would be a major catch... I don't think there would be major outgoes this year as the people jumping up and down last season have all had a mediocre season at best and there would not be too many bidders. Also given the recession, people might be wary of moving on...
Going by Wenger's past history, I doubt if we will get any experienced player... may be only few more youngsters...
Cheers!

Kolo Toure is SOOOOO important that he can't leave! my choices are Adebayor, Senderos and Denilson...but i'm sure that Denilson won't leave...
I agree that a new defensive midfielder is needed. Yaya is perfect but he will stay in Barc for sure and I don't think Diarra will come back... His relation with Wenger is quite bad. Do we have other choices?
