I never got any worst birthday present in my life.
But today was my mother in law's birthday.
Just this morning when I was putting my little daughter to sleep I heard my mother in law was talking on the phone very loudly. I can't hear what was it about because I can't hear clearly. Then as soon as my daughter was asleep I tried to catch up.
She was on the phone with a police officer telling her that her eldest son got an accident and was bring into the hospital. The police officer asked her to call the doctor who took care of him. I was also surprised and I could see how she was very sad and surprised.
Then I immediately check the hospital.
Before I was connected to the hospital, my mother in law came to me and told me that it was a fraud.
She called her eldest son's wife to check and she told her that she was with him and he was working.
I'm glad it was only a fraud and we were aware that it was a fraud.
But it was very surprising and it surely wasn't something that you expect to hear on your birthday, don't you agree?
Well, we don't celebrate her birthday with a party but I just cook a new vegetarian recipe for her to try and later we are going to buy some meals to eat at home.
Simple but I think that's enough for her to let her know that we care for her.
Frankly, I'm in tight budget, LOL, so try to make it simple, LOL!

None. I always treasure every gift that is given to me no matter how cheap or how unuseful it is.

Well, i got a brown pair of socks for my 21st birthday. Brown is not my color. Moreover, a sock should never be a bithday gift option.
Good thing I came across this site http://www.gift.us I know I'll never be the giver of a worst gift to a person.

That is the thing about birthday. I completely agree with you.
I don't know how that "police officer" got the information about my mother in law and his eldest son. But it was really a bad present or should we say a really BAD JOKE.
Thanks for sharing.

It is nice to hear that you are going to cook a new meal for it. I wish it will come out very well and your mother in law will like it. Yes, I understood that it is a difficult situation to hear a bad new on birthday. But, thank god that it is only fraud.
Coming to your question, the worst birthday gift I ever got is a pair of ear ring. It is from a friend whom I like most and I can share all my views and problems. She thought that I might like it. I don't like that particular kind of ear rings. So, I gave that to my sistr, but she also didn't take it.
I used it only one time from the thought that it is sitting with me for more than one year and I didn't use it; after that I threw it away. I am sorry my friend.

I think I can understand you.
Well, it's a dilemma to get a present we don't like. We don't use it, people who it might think that we don't appreciate the present.
I feel sorry about your friend's gift too.
If I were you, I'll give them to someone who might like it too or perhaps I'll wear it if it's possible to modify it.
Thanks for sharing.
