Any bad experience in Online Shopping?

As online shopping becomemore and more common nowadays due to it's convenience, have anyone encountered any bad experience from shopping online? For example, did not get the product after payment made, product different from what is shown in web etc.

Every time I've ever bought something online I got exactly what I ordered and it came it perfect shape except for once! I ordered a motherboard and it was a defective but they replaced it. Every shopping experience has been a good one for me.

That's good. Just out of curiousity, does the replacement process take a long time?

If they have the intension to cheat the consumer, they will make everything seems perfectly ok. Is there any way that we can know whether the seller is trustworthy or not besides looking at the comment from previous buyer?

OH yeah! I got scammed big time! I spent over 100 dollars on DVDs for a show--and the quality is HORRIBLE, some of the episodes flat out don't work and it's just very poor in everyway!
I tried to contact the site that I bought them from, they never got back to me. They don't give a return address on their site (I guess that should have been a red flag)...and it just sucked!
After that I always do a lot of research on a site that I am purchasing from...and when I can I use Paypal. I used paypal for the dvd's actually--but back then I didn't know I could ask paypal about helping me get the money back. Probably too late now.

Oh, I don't even know that we can ask paypal to help us to get back the money. Thanks for sharing the information. Yeah! I totally agree with you that we have to a lot of online research before making the decision. If the price differs too much, there must be something wrong.

yeah i do get scammed when i pay book using credit card not paypal!already send email asking about my book but got no response!really regret shopping at abebooks.it's already more than a month!

I had a bad shopping experience through ebay when I ordered 200 worth of clothes and they never got sent to me. I reported it to Ebay and they tried to do an investigation, but unfortunately the seller closed their ebay account and ebay was unable to retrieve my money back. It was a seller from China and so they couldn't impose any governance over them. It was definetely a bad experience, but all of my other shopping online experiences have been good.
