Are you thinking bigger? The pc seems smaller to me than the internet. the internet lets you keep in touch with the whole world. Without the internet, you can't do much communicating with a pc.

Computer is the big whale that swims a lot in the sea.
It cannot live without the water of the sea because
it goes both. The whale does not survive long time if
the sea or river does not exist. So with computer we
can surf its because of the large connection of the
internet.

I think if internet is a sea, or even ocean, then computer is a ship. You can surf the sea or travelling aboard the ocean without a ship. The ship itself has many type. So let say there's notebook computer, desktop computer, smartphone, cellphone, netbook, etc as the ships. Internet has considered as a sea for long time. That's why people say surf the internet, not fly on the internet. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.
